Dead Air: First Flight
by
Samuel C. Garcia

On leave from the war, U.S. Army helicopter pilot CW3 Sai thought he would finally get a good night's sleep without fear of attack. But his date with a beautiful Thai actress was interrupted — by an attack from the dead.

In a matter of minutes, Sai was running with Yoon as the city of Bangkok tore itself apart.

With helicopters flying overhead, F-16s screaming above, and tanks rolling through the streets, Sai and Yoon escape to a temple that becomes the living's last outpost in Asia.

But hordes of the dead have gathered outside, trying to claw their way through the temple walls. Now all that stands between life and gruesome death is the helicopter fleet known as DEAD AIR.

About Samuel C. Garcia

Flying the friendly skies for the military, Samuel C. Garcia has had plenty of time to think of the "What If" questions. If the dead rose? How could he use the aircraft he has flown against them? Garcia's discussions with fellow crewmembers quickly turned into the book DEAD AIR. Garcia called on his real-life experiences in the military to write many of the out-of-this-world scenes in DEAD AIR. Garcia's goal was to create a realistic horror adventure where the main character is no superhero but a member of a team — and nothing more. For updates, visit Facebook.com/DeadAir1. Happy hunting!
